Imagining the Big TripSo, how would I imagine this trip going? Probably 60% Fun, 39% Work and lastly 1% mishaps. But I am sure it would be an awesome experience to remember.
Oh right, the big trip is this thing that the 8th graders do every year. They’ve made books about it, I also have read them and seeing as how they went to Central Java I am about 50% sure we will go to Central Java too. And from my experience with my last trip which was to Babakan Ranca which is a Village in the Pangalengan Area. There we stayed at the locals' house. We were split into groups either boys or girls then we were split again. I got into a group with Jordy and Arvin. We were there for three days and unfortunatly i got sick during that time period. I had a fever but i kept going, still i couldn't be at my best which sucked but i had fun memories with the families there and such.
I think it would be awesome if we stayed at the locals' place and learn more personally their way of life, yet i also don't want to intrude. I hope we did what the 9th graders did last year and stayed at an islamic boarding school because i think it would be splendid.
Anyways i think we would start in a train station with all of our parents there waving goodbye as we depart on a trip of a lifetime and we are ready to take care of ourselves for the whole week of adventuring, learning, friendship and love. Okay scratch that no love but friendship shall blossom, relationship will be made and the time of our life begins.
On the train some of us will sleep, some of us will talk, some of us will draw and some will be bored out of their minds. When we arrive we will run around saying "Awesome we made it". Then we will walk to find the bus station. We will use the bus to get to the first city and go adventuring.
We will be split into groups. I hope my group would be: Me (of course), Raka, Dyah, Sha and Fikri/Ravi (just one please). The last person I want in my group would be Jordy, Jojo and Ara. We would ask the locals about their culture and learn about their daily lives. We would also do challenges made by Kakak.
After it's dark we will probably stay at either at a hostel or an islamic boarding school or even a locals' home. I would probably sleep early since i get easily sleepy. The others i don't know, some of us would probably only sleep after late and just goof around until the actually HAVE to go to sleep.
And the next days would be like that i guess but we will make more memories than ever. We know when we get home a week after we would not be the same.
That's it that is what i think would happen. See you guys later and i hope to see you again.

Summary of the Exhibition

So, yeah today was a pretty unique day, or should I say unique week, because it is our exhibition week where the whole middle school 7th, 8th and 9th grade show of what they have done the past 3 month. We showed off projects, creations and other stuff we made during the first half of our semester. Me, I'm an 8th grader and the first day that we opened the exhibition I was excited and quite pleased by the amount of people that went to see our exhibition. Also, I had the first shift which was 8am to 10am and during that time a handful of people came to our exhibition.
The 8th graders made a lot of stuff, one of the main projects was a thematic map of Java which we made in a 3-4 week period. We made science projects about the digestive system of humans, we made posters and booklets so that the 6th graders can learn better about the digestive system. We also made a social studies project about the local regulations, we find a local regulation to base our draft from and then make a full fledged local regulation about garbage, education, environment or economy. We also did journals of 'sensing' from when we did our field trips. And we made math projects about how we would make a store. We also made a project to show how to tend to clients by making wallets for other classmates.
There are also projects made by other classes, for example the 7th graders made a project where instead of the teachers giving them an assignment they get bingo cards where they can choose what they would do and if they do 5 in a row they finish the project. They also made a 'sensing journal' from their field trip to the places around our city.
The 9th graders made videos regarding folk lore and also made notes and drawings of traditional weapons, housing, and culture from Indonesia.
Well that was a brief summary of our exhibition and I hope you enjoyed today's post. Have a good day.
